Job role:
Medica Group is the market leader in teleradiology and managed radiology services for the UK and Ireland. We are currently recruiting for a new team member to join our Ultrasound team at our newly opened clinic in Clonsilla, covering maternity leave.
We are expanding and seeking specialists in MSK, DDH, or paediatrics. However, candidates with extensive general ultrasound experience are encouraged to apply.
Our new clinic in Clonsilla is part of our growth. We prefer full-time but are open to discussing flexible hours, including part-time, to promote work/life balance.
This role is ideal for a Clinical Specialist Sonographer or an experienced Senior Sonographer looking for a new challenge with Medica Ireland.

Medica Ireland employs over 180 staff, providing services in MRI, Ultrasound, CT, DXA, Obstetrics, and X-Ray to public and private hospitals. We are a clinically led, patient-focused organization with experts including Radiologists, Radiographers, Sonographers, and Midwife Sonographers. Our goal is to improve patient access and reduce costs through efficient workflows.

Requirements:
Qualifications:
* CORU registration
* MSc Ultrasound or equivalent
* Relevant clinical ultrasound experience
Essential skills:
* Commitment to professional growth
* Proficiency in computer skills and report documentation
Desirable skills:
* Ability to manage clinical and non-clinical situations
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Ability to liaise with staff and management
* Responsibility and initiative
* Interest in quality improvement
* Post-registration professional development
* Paediatrics, DDH, or other ultrasound specialties (desirable but not essential)
Key responsibilities:
* Quality management:
• Develop and implement operational policies, protocols, and guidelines
• Support service development initiatives
• Assist with ultrasound equipment maintenance and QA
• Provide professional support and advice
• Contribute to risk management and safety strategies
• Participate in clinical audits and incident management
* Clinical responsibilities:
• Produce high-quality images following procedures
• Provide courteous, confidential patient care
• Keep updated with clinical and technical developments
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of clinical areas
• Report equipment issues and complaints
• Keep accurate records and manage RIS/PACS data
