Wilsons Auctions is the largest independently owned auction house in the UK Ireland.
We currently have a requirement in Dublin Branch for a Full-Time Gatehouse/Yard Operative.
The successful candidate will be based at the above site and duties will include the following: Receive, log, label, and securely store all vehicle keys on arrival.
Maintain accurate key records within the auction management system.
Issue and retrieve keys for internal departments (photography, inspection, valeting, yard staff) in line with approved processes.
Release keys to buyers, transporters, or authorised third parties following successful payment and clearance checks.
Verify vehicle details against keys to ensure correct matching at all times.
Carry out daily key reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies immediately.
Escalate missing, damaged, or incorrect keys in accordance with company procedures.
Support auction days by ensuring timely and controlled key availability.
Work closely with Yard, Admin, Transport, and Accounts teams to ensure smooth operations.
Adhere to all security, health safety, and data protection requirements.
Assist with audits, stock checks, and compliance reporting when required.

Highly organised with the ability to manage high volumes of keys and vehicles.
Trustworthy, reliable, and security-conscious.
Confident using computer systems and databases (auction or asset management systems desirable).
Good communication skills and a professional manner when dealing with customers and colleagues.
Ability to work under pressure, particularly on busy auction days.
Previous experience in an auction house, motor trade, logistics, or security-based role is an advantage but not essential.
