The Role
We're looking for a Support Engineer to join our technology operations team.
This is a frontline support role combining helpdesk duties with light technical and data platform responsibilities.
You'll assist our retail clients with system issues, data queries, and access requests, while also helping to monitor and maintain daily platform operations.
This role suits someone who enjoys troubleshooting, communicating with customers, and learning how modern data and analytics systems fit together.
You'll work closely with our Platform Coordinator, engineering team, and third-party providers to resolve issues efficiently and keep our platform running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for client support queries via email and ticketing system.
* Diagnose and resolve issues related to user access, data discrepancies, and system errors.
* Escalate technical or complex cases to software or data engineers where necessary.
* Monitor daily automated processes (file imports, integrations, data refreshes) and ensure successful completion.
* Perform simple SQL queries or checks to validate data where required.
* Assist in onboarding new clients and configuring system integrations.
* Log all issues, resolutions, and client communications in the ticketing system.
* Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge base articles.
* Support the Platform Coordinator in tracking SLAs and recurring incidents.
Experience & Skills
* 1–3 years' experience in IT support, helpdesk, or technical operations.
* Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication with a professional, client-friendly approach.
* Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g. Jira, Zendesk, Freshdesk).
* Basic SQL skills.
* Comfortable learning how data platforms and integrations work.
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
Nice to Have
* Experience supporting SaaS, analytics, or data-driven products.
* Exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
* Knowledge of Power BI or similar reporting tools.
* Experience working with retail, finance, or ePOS systems.
