EHS Manager – Initial 10-Month Fixed Term Contract

The Role
Sigmar Recruitment is partnering with a leading manufacturing organisation in Portlaoise to recruit an EHS Manager on an initial 10-month fixed term contract. The successful candidate must have experience within a manufacturing environment, including working with hazardous chemicals.
EHS Manager Key Responsibilities
Ensure site compliance with HSA, EPA, and corporate EHS standards
Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective/preventative actions
Manage contractor safety, permits to work, and JSA processes
Deliver EHS training and support employee and contractor compliance
Conduct EHS audits, inspections, and KPI reporting
Support emergency planning, ERP drills, and site security requirements
EHS Manager Requirements
Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or related discipline
Proven EHS experience in a manufacturing environment involving hazardous chemicals
Strong knowledge of Irish EHS legislation
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
