Senior Projects Manager - County WexfordSenior Projects Manager - County Wexford.This is a 24-month fixed-term contract.Our client seeks a Senior Project Manager on a fixed-term contract basis at its manufacturing facility, to lead a large facility expansion project.The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale capital expansion project. The role will provide overall leadership, governance, and co-ordination of multiple stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.This is a high-profile role requiring strong leadership, technical understanding of process plant projects, and proven experience managing complex capital investments in regulated manufacturing environments.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the planning, execution, and close-out of a >€100M capital project from design through to commissioning and handoverAct as the client’s representative, managing EPC/EPCM contractors, consultants, and vendorsEstablish and maintain clear project governance, reporting structures, and decision-making processesEnsure alignment with business objectives, operational needs, and long-term asset strategyOversee the progress and quality of Detailed Design deliverables produced by the EPCM contractorEnsure that process, mechanical, electrical, automation, and civil designs meet operational, safety, quality, and regulatory requirementsLead client review and approval of design packages, value engineering proposals, and technical deviationsReview and challenge EPCM cost forecasts, estimates, and cash flow projectionsEnsure constructability, operability, maintainability, and future expansion considerations are embedded in the designMonitor construction performance, safety, quality, and productivity via the EPCM contractorDevelop and manage the overall project execution plan, master schedule, and budgetMonitor performance against cost, schedule, and scope, implementing corrective actions as requiredIdentify, assess, and mitigate project risks, including technical, commercial, and operational risksManage change control processes and ensure approvals are obtained in line with client governanceChampion a strong safety-first culture across all project activitiesEnsure EPCM and construction contractors comply with all HSE, and process safety requirementsEnsure the project complies with regulatory, environmental, and corporate governance standardsOversee quality assurance and inspection processesManage interfaces between the EPCM firm, site operations, engineering, quality, maintenance, and leadership teamsCommunicate regularly with senior stakeholders, providing clear progress, risk, and cost updatesEnsure minimal disruption to ongoing plant operations during construction activitiesMaintain strict confidentiality throughout all phases of the projectOversee commissioning, qualification, and handover to operationsEnsure all documentation, training, and asset data are completed and transferredSupport start-up activities to achieve performance and capacity objectivesRequired Experience and QualificationsDegree qualified in Engineering, Project Management, or a related disciplineProven experience managing large-scale capital projects (>€50M, preferably >€100M) on the client sideAt least 15 years’ experience in process / chemical plant or industrial manufacturing projectsDemonstrated experience managing EPC/EPCM contractorsStrong understanding of cost control, scheduling, and risk managementExperience working within regulated manufacturing environment (food, beverage, chemical, pharma, or similar)Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skillsExperience delivering projects in live operational facilitiesFamiliarity with commissioning, qualification, and validation processes
