Job Description
Assistant Director of Nursing is a key role that involves providing guidance and direction to nursing staff, supervising, mentoring, and developing them. This includes delegating tasks, rostering, performance management, and overseeing daily operations.
The successful candidate will facilitate communication between healthcare teams, assist in the delivery of high-quality patient-centered care, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and identify and manage risks within their area of responsibility.
They will also contribute to service planning and development, ensuring that patients receive excellent care. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of HIQA standards and be fluent in English both written and oral.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Previous experience in the nursing sector in Ireland (minimum 10 years)
* Previous experience as an ADON is preferred, but CNMs with 5+ years' experience are welcome to apply
* NMBI PIN number
* Strong knowledge of HIQA standards
* A fluent level of English both written and oral is essential
