Atlantic Flight Training Academy (AFTA) are recruiting for a Maintenance Administrator to support the Continuing Airworthiness Manager (CAM) and our Aircraft Maintenance Department.
AFTA operate a large fleet of Cessna 172 aircraft, Diamond DA42 & DA40, Slingsby T67 and Vulcanair P68 aircraft training domestic and international cadets for some of the world's largest airlines and providing aircraft for Aerial Survey missions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, purchasing and inventory requirements in relation to the Aircraft Maintenance Department of the company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Complete administrative duties and paperwork associated with the Maintenance Department
* Provide administrative support to the CAM, including maintaining records, databases, and documentation.
* Monitor maintenance requirements and activities for the aircraft
* Assist with coordination of scheduled maintenance, inspections, and defect rectification.
* Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed, maintaining accurate inventory control systems
* Forecast supply and demand requirements of the maintenance department to ensure stock availability.
* Liaise and negotiate with vendors, subcontracted companies, manufacturers and suppliers to ensure good quality products for negotiated prices
* Coordinate the logistics of purchase orders, stock transfers and deliveries, identifying and resolving delivery issues as they arise
* Generate work packs and ensure that all required scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is accomplished in due time and all information is updated in necessary systems.
* Assist with audits conducted by the Compliance and Safety Managers and External Auditors
* Ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES / QUALIFICATIONS:
* Minimum 4+ years' experience of administration, purchasing and inventory control
* Experience within the aviation industry while not essential would be beneficial
* Ability to hold airport restricted zone access.
* Computer literate, with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Software Programs, especially Excel
* Fluent English speaker
* Good logistical thinking abilities.
* Strong attention to detail in multi-tasking situations and the ability to deliver results to tight timelines.
* Responsible, proactive and flexible approach
* Strong Communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to forge positive working relationships
* Good collaboration and negotiation abilities.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
