Red Chair Recruitment are recruiting a part-time Relief Driver for our clients, a hardware and agriculture retailer in Louth.
You will be providing relief to the team a couple of days a week transporting stock from the main site in Louth to clients across the country.
This role is ideal for a professional driver looking for flexible work, with the opportunity to increase days over time.
Key Responsibilities Safely operate company lorries in compliance with road traffic legislation Carry out deliveries and collections as scheduled Complete all required driving and delivery documentation accurately Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects Maintain high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service Adhere to drivers hours regulations and company policies Requirements 2+ years HGV driving experience Full Category C (Rigid) driving licence (essential) Driver CPC fully up to date (essential) Valid digital tachograph card Good working knowledge of Irish road networks Strong understanding of drivers hours and transport regulations Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious Ability to work independently and as part of a team Pay & Benefits €20 per hour €30 per day expenses €50 overnight allowance (where applicable) Opportunity to increase working days as business needs grow This is an initial 1-2 days a week position with the potential of a 3rd day a week if the candidate is performing well in the job.
