We are looking for a passionate, hard‑working, and talented Incident Specialist for a 6‑month contract. You will help remove risk for the customer, resolve globally impacting barriers, and drive innovation within a fast‑paced, startup‑style team. This role will contribute to building a support and process model that will impact our client at a global level, while working closely with a world‑class service team.
Responsibilities
* Lead high‑severity response calls and ensure fast and accurate triage for a global remote support organization.
* Direct engineers for resolution, lead root‑cause investigations, and implement changes to avert future risk.
* Act as liaison and escalation point to Field Operations and Field IT.
* Drive process improvements for Global Operation teams and manage high‑severity triage, escalations and issue management.
Qualifications
* 2+ years in Global Incident Management.
* 2+ years of Problem Management experience.
* 3+ years’ experience in a network‑focused hands‑on technical role (IP routing protocols/technologies, large‑scale data center/WAN network environments).
* Experience supporting Field IT and Operations Partners in resolving high‑severity problems, defining root causes, and driving risk removal tasks.
* Strong communication skills across all management levels; ability to work in a fast‑moving environment via effective prioritization and time management.
* Experience with project management and ticketing tools.
* Technical background in networking, Linux or Microsoft administration, or Cisco network configuration and management.
* Some experience in selling scripting skills (Python, Perl, or Shell) or a desire to learn them.
* Detailed‑oriented, excellent analytical skills, and a strong team player.
Preferred Qualifications
* 5+ years in Global Incident Management.
* 5+ years of Problem Management experience.
* 5+ years’ experience in large‑scale network environments with deep knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF/IS‑IS, BGP, MPLS), load balancing, firewalls, ACLs, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, LDAP, NFS, etc.
* Hands‑on experience with vendor platforms such as Cisco or Juniper.
* High degree of ownership over IT infrastructure and root‑cause analysis.
* Proven ability to manage complex tasks and demonstrate problem‑solving ability.
