The Role & Purpose
This is an exciting role which involves working across the entire organisation and driving and implementing best practice sustainability initiatives. This role plays a key function in maintaining Kyte’s programs in terms of environmental, social and economic responsibility.
This individual will conduct in-depth sustainability analysis and evaluations to identify key impact areas, establish measurable objectives, and define performance indicators for continuous improvement. They drive the sustainability initiatives across Kyte Powertech, keeping it a leader in ESG, minimising environmental impact and maximising positive human and community influence.
This role supports the company in achieving a carbon-zero business, supplying low-carbon products in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner.
Responsibilities:
* Leading the development, execution, and monitoring of comprehensive sustainability strategies in alignment with Kyte Powertech’s ESG vision, mission, and core values.
* Partnering with cross-functional teams to identify and implement initiatives that reduce waste, conserve energy, and lower carbon emissions across operations.
* Overseeing the company’s ESG risk assessment through Materiality Analysis, prioritizing the most significant environmental, social, and governance issues.
* Coordinating Life Cycle Assessments to quantify and reduce the carbon footprint of Kyte Powertech’s products and operations.
* Leading the internal and external assessments, audits, and site inspections to ensure compliance with sustainability standards, including, EcoVadis and ISO 14064, whilst partaking in ISO management systems such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001.
* Supporting and organising community-focused sustainability initiatives, including school-based environmental programs.
* Supporting and driving sustainability in the supply chain.
* Staying up to date with emerging global ESG reporting frameworks, risk management, CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) and voluntary standards such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, SBTi, and CDP.
* Driving ESG awareness and training programs within Kyte, with our customers, suppliers, and local community.
* Developing a Greenhouse Gas Inventory Management Plan to collect the direct and indirect emissions (Scope 1, 2 and 3) produced by the company over a year.
* Preparing and publishing accurate, compelling, and compliant corporate sustainability reports that reflect Kyte Powertech’s ongoing environmental and social commitments.
* Representing Kyte Powertech in sustainability-related networks, industry forums, and conferences to stay informed of new regulations and developments.
Education & Skills:
* Third level professional qualification (NFQ Level 8 or equivalent) in Engineering/Environmental/Sustainability or related discipline (B.Sc./B.E. preferred).
* 1-2 years’ experience in a similar manufacturing role preferred.
* Familiar with ESG and sustainability reporting requirements.
* Professional reporting to publication standard.
* Data Management.
* Experience and knowledge of ISO standards.
* Project Management Skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team.

This is an on-site role in our premises at Kyte Powertech Ireland Limited, Dublin Road Cavan, H12 KV20.
