Position Overview
Eden One is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Personal Trainer to take a pivotal leadership role within our multi-disciplinary wellness team. Primary duties of the role include overseeing exercise programming and liaising with our multi-disciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of programme delivery whilst prioritising member outcomes and experience.
The Lead Personal Trainer will collaborate closely with a team of allied health and performance professionals (which will include a Strength & Conditioning Coach, Physiotherapist, and Exercise Physiologist) to interpret testing data and develop tailored training programs for members. This role demands strong leadership, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a passion for delivering an elite fitness experience.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Mentoring
* Lead, and mentor the team of Personal Trainers to ensure delivery excellence and continuous professional development.
* Set and uphold high standards of coaching, professionalism, and member interaction across the training team.
* Work with the gym manager to conduct regular performance reviews, feedback sessions, and team meetings.
Program Delivery & Oversight
* Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to interpret baseline testing data and oversee the implementation of holistic training programmes based on each individuals testing results.
* Ensure consistency and quality in programme design and delivery based on professional assessments and team input.
* Maintain a high level of understanding across all allied disciplines to effectively communicate and translate their input into actionable training protocols.
Member Experience
* Champion a gold-standard member experience, ensuring all personal training interactions reflect Eden One's premium service ethos.
* Provide guidance to trainers on communication, engagement, and member retention strategies.
* Address member concerns related to personal training and follow up with solutions and improvements.
Operational Duties
* Liaise with management and the Multi-Disciplinary team to ensure alignment on strategy, goals, and member experience.
* Support the development and implementation of new initiatives, wellness programs, and performance-focused offerings.
* Assist in onboarding new trainers and ensuring a smooth integration into the Eden One culture and standards.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in personal training, with additional experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
* Relevant bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Sports Performance, Leisure & Health or a similar field.
* Accredited Personal Training Certification (e.g. REP's Level 4 or equivalent).
* Experience working within or alongside a multidisciplinary team is desirable (S&C, Physio, EP, etc.).
* Strong knowledge and experience of exercise programming and delivery.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.
* High standard of personal presentation and professionalism.
