Job Description
Kilminnin Farms, based in Stradbally, Co. Waterford, are seeking a full-time Dairy Farm Assistant. Duties include daily milking of the dairy herd, assisting with calving (seasonal), feeding livestock, monitoring animal health and welfare, cleaning and maintenance of yards and milking facilities, grassland and fencing work, operation of standard dairy farm machinery, and adherence to farm safety and animal welfare standards.
The role requires early morning and weekend work on a rostered basis. Previous dairy farming experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. Salary 34,000 per annum based on a 39 hour week.
