Retail Area Manager – Galway
Excel Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced and commercially driven Retail Area Manager to oversee a portfolio of stores across Galway and the surrounding region.
This role offers a strong salary package along with the opportunity to step into a high-impact, multi-site leadership position with real autonomy.
Salary: €60K – €70K
Key Responsibilities of the Job:
1. Oversee the performance and daily operations of multiple retail stores
2. Drive sales growth, margin improvement, and cost control across all locations
3. Lead, support, and develop Store Managers and their teams
4. Ensure consistent implementation of company standards, policies, and procedures
5. Analyse KPIs and trading reports to identify opportunities for improvement
6. Manage recruitment, succession planning, and talent development across the region
7. Maintain high standards in merchandising, customer service, and compliance
8. Conduct regular store visits, audits, and performance reviews
Key Requirements of the Job:
9. Proven experience in a multi-site or senior retail management role
10. Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering sales and margin growth
11. Experience managing and developing high-performing management teams
12. Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment
13. Hands-on leadership style with excellent communication skills
14. Full clean driving licence
