Cost Accountant (Temporary Contract)
Description:
We are hiring for our client, a commercially focused organisation based in North Dublin, who require an experienced Cost Accountant to join their finance team on an initial 2–3 month temporary contract. This Cost Accountant job offers an immediate start and will suit a hands-on finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.
The successful Cost Accountant will work closely with operational and senior management teams, providing critical cost analysis, insight and reporting to support short-term decision-making and business performance. This is a highly visible role where your commercial acumen will make an immediate impact.

The Role:
• Analyse product, operational and manufacturing costs to support margin improvement
• Prepare and maintain detailed cost models, forecasts and variance analysis
• Partner with operations and finance leadership to support short-term commercial decisions
• Review standard costing and support updates where required
• Provide accurate, timely reporting to support month-end and management reviews
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
The Person:
• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent), or qualified by experience
• Proven experience working in a Cost Accountant or similar commercial finance role
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and challenge data
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Available to start immediately or at very short notice
