My client is an independent not-for-profit hospital seeking an experienced Dietician at basic grade or senior level, for their in-patient mental health service based in Dublin 16.
The client provides a spectrum of neuropsychiatric services to adults with a range of serious and enduring mental health needs such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Huntington's Diseases, as well as individuals with early onset dementias, schizophrenia, and mood disorders.
Key Duties:
1. Demonstrate skill and confidence in supporting clients with complex feeding difficulties, including oral-motor dysfunction.
2. Show strong competence in managing enteral (tube) feeding plans.
3. Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and integrated care for all residents.
4. Assess and manage a wide range of clinical presentations related to adults with neurological and complex mental health needs.
5. Establish and monitor performance standards and contribute to achieving outcome measures within neuro and mental health dietetics.
Essential Criteria:
6. A recognised dietician qualification and maintain valid registration with CORU.
7. Minimum years of post-qualification experience.
8. Experience in adult with neurodisability and mental health dietetics.
9. Evidence of postgraduate continuing professional development relevant to a specialism within dietetics.
