Our client, a leading multi-site nursing home group is seeking an experienced Chief Operations Officer (COO) to join its senior leadership team.
This executive leadership opportunity is a critical role, responsible for operational performance, quality of care, workforce leadership and financial sustainability across multiple care facilities. The COO will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and will lead the implementation of strategic objectives, ensuring excellence in care delivery, regulatory compliance and organisational performance.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for translating strategic objectives into operational plans and measurable outcomes, leading multi-site operations while driving high standards of resident care and ensuring operational performance and quality of care across multiple care facilities.
This is a permanent, full-time, hybrid role with responsibility for the groups nursing homes nationally. The best location for the role is Munster/Midlands but this remains open to discussion.
Qualifications
A Level 8 degree in Business, Healthcare Management, Nursing, Social Care, or similar.
A postgraduate qualification in healthcare leadership (desirable).
A minimum of 10–15 years’ experience in the healthcare sector.
At least 5 years at senior leadership or executive level.
Required Skills
Proven experience managing operations across multiple healthcare sites.
Strong regulatory knowledge, especially HIQA compliance.
Demonstrated financial acumen, including P&L management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Eligible to work in Ireland.
Preferred Skills
A postgraduate qualification in healthcare leadership (desirable).
