FNW Group and Fleming Agri are partnering to recruit a shared HR Officer who will play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing our people strategies while overseeing all aspects of HR within the respective companies.
Fleming Agri–Products is a leading manufacturer of agricultural machinery based in Newbuilding's, Northern Ireland. The company promotes a value for money product portfolio that is sold extensively throughout the UK and Ireland as well as several significant export markets including France, Norway, Sweden, New Zealand and Australia. All manufacturing facilities are sited in Newbuildings with metal processing and finishing the primary activities employing over 100 people.
The FNW Group of companies is based across the North of Ireland. The companies in the group are Fleming Steel, Fleming Doors and Fleming Coatings based in St. Johnston, Co. Donegal; Norwest Roofing Systems in Omagh; Limavady Roller Doors in Limavady and BES Solutions in Belfast. The Group currently employs approximately 70 people. The Group has a wide-ranging product offering and customer base across the island distributing steel and roofing products, providing metal finishing services (such as powder coating) and manufacturing, installing and maintaining access solutions.
About The Role

As HR Officer you will oversee and manage all aspects of Human Resources in the Company and will provide support and guidance for all HR activities. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to drive business performance.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Management and administration of all aspects of Human Resources within the Company
1. Oversee and manage recruitment process including preparation of job descriptions and job adverts, shortlisting applications, managing interviews and appointments
2. Onboarding of employees including reference checks, new start documentation, right to work checks, issue offer letters/contracts, and delivery of induction training
3. Plan, organise, and assist in delivery of training and development for all staff
4. Maintenance of on-going training/skills analysis, and development of training plans
5. Manage payroll administration
6. Manage absence and employee relations issues
7. Oversee and provide support with performance management
8. Develop, and maintain HR policies and procedures ensuring they are implemented in a consistent manner
9. Maintenance of all fair employment records and ensure the fair employment monitoring return is completed for the Company
10. Assist with health and safety duties as and when required.
11. Any other duties as required
Requirements
· Previous experience working in a HR role, preferably in a manufacturing/engineering environment
· Strong working knowledge of employment legislation
· Excellent communication skills
· Effective organisational, planning and time management skills
· Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
· Strong IT skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
· Experience of employee relations and absence management
Desirable
· CIPD qualification or working towards it
· Minimum 2 years' experience in a generalist HR role
· Strong knowledge of RoI and UK employment law
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to manage multiple priorities across different teams
· Discretion, professionalism, and a proactive approach
