Supply Chain & Retail
Supply Chain Services provides both pre-wholesale and wholesale distribution of pharmaceutical, healthcare, and animal health products to pharmacies and hospitals nationwide. The business supports a diverse customer base through strong service levels and innovative commercial initiatives. Additionally, it provides services that help independent community pharmacies compete more effectively and runs a network of Uniphar-owned pharmacies under the Life, Allcare, McCauleys, and Hickeys brands.
Pharma - On Demand
The On-Demand business sources and distributes pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, and consumables to healthcare professionals in over 160 countries. It has offices in Ireland, UK, Europe, USA, and New Zealand. The divisions include International Sales, NGO & Charities, Clinical Trials Supply, Imported (Unlicensed Medicines), Sexual Health Supplies, and distribution of medical products and devices for third parties.

Role Overview
Working within the Commercial team, the successful candidate will drive the commercial buying strategy for the Beauty & Personal Care category across our 200+ retail pharmacies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developing the commercial strategy for Beauty & Front of Shop categories
* Creating promotional cycles for Symbol pharmacies
* Representing the commercial team at weekly trade meetings
* Collaborating with the Uniphar Consumer team to source and select products
* Reviewing promotion performance and providing insights
* Ensuring planogram implementation and support documentation
* Communicating strategies to Operations teams
* Managing supplier relationships for JBP and planogram compliance
* Utilising BI reporting for category performance insights
* Representing at trade shows and supplier events
* Supporting relationships with symbol and franchise members
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
* Supporting daily operations of the Commercial buying team
* Achieving sales, margin, and JBP budgets
* Managing stock levels and supporting store sell-through
* Providing regular updates to the Commercial Manager
* Participating in weekly commercial meetings
* Prioritising supplier meetings
* Aligning retail pricing with margin and market targets
* Providing supplier and pricing data to the database team
* Building promotions calendar and category strategies
* Updating planograms as scheduled
* Attending trade shows as appropriate
* Contributing to board packs for symbol updates
* Communicating strategies via Uniphar channels
* Participating in weekly commercial meetings
* Collaborating with Operations to implement strategies
Key Skills & Experiences:
* Minimum 3+ years in a buying role
* Experience in pharmacy or beauty buying is desirable
* Strong numerical and analytical skills, proficient in MS Office
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, diverse environment
