Tom Moody Programme for Engineering Talent (Bursary for DKIT Eng Students)
Suretank, a leading provider of modular and tank solutions for global infrastructure, pharma, marine, and energy sectors, announces an expansion of its bursary programme. The programme now includes two additional bursaries annually to support the next generation of engineering talent. Named The Tom Moody Programme for Engineering Talent in honor of Suretank's late General Manager, Tom Moody, this initiative supports three DKIT engineering students each year.
The Tom Moody Programme for Engineering Talent aims to provide financial assistance, mentorship, paid work placements, and summer work opportunities to students pursuing degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, and Architectural Technology.
The successful recipient will receive an annual financial award to support their 3rd and 4th-year studies at Dundalk Institute of Technology (DKIT). This programme not only helps alleviate financial barriers but also offers students a chance to establish industry connections, potentially leading to future employment with Suretank.
Qualifying Criteria:
* Must be a current DKIT student (non-negotiable).
* Studying towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or Architectural Technology.
* Must be a Level 7 student aiming to progress to Level 8 or already enrolled at Level 8.
* Must have successfully completed second-year exams with a Merit grade or higher on first attempt. Applications with repeated exams in second year are ineligible.
Terms and Conditions:
* Payment Terms: €2,000 annually, paid in two equal installments in October and January.
* Yearly Completion: Scholarship contingent upon successful completion of each academic year.
* Grade Continuity: Maintain a Merit grade or higher throughout the course.
* Work Placement: Complete a work placement with Suretank.
* Course Continuity: Remain enrolled in the same course of study.
* Promotional Activity: Participate in promotional activities as required.
* Application Deadline: 28th July 2025.
