Role: Accommodation Assistant

As an Accommodation Assistant, you'll play a key role in the smooth running of the building and in delivering a positive experience for every guest. This is a varied, hands-on role that combines customer service, administration, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

Reception & Administration

* Welcome guests and manage check-ins and check-outs

* Complete daily administrative tasks to support smooth operations

Customer Service & Guest Experience

* Provide friendly, professional service at all times

* Respond to guest queries and resolve issues promptly

Reservations & Payments

* Process bookings and payments accurately and efficiently

Sales & Upselling

* Promote tours and additional products to enhance guest stays

Reporting & Documentation

* Maintain accurate records, including handovers, maintenance logs, and lost property

Housekeeping & Operational Support

* Assist with linen management, room cleaning, and preparing departures for arrivals

* Support cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas

* Occasionally assist with minor maintenance tasks (e.g. unblocking showers or toilets)

Building Setup & Close-Down

* Support seasonal setup and end-of-season breakdown

Health & Safety

* Follow all health, safety, and security procedures to maintain a safe environment

What We're Looking For

* A positive, reliable team player with strong people skills

* Friendly and professional manner, even during busy periods

* Good timekeeping, flexibility, and a strong work ethic

* Customer-focused mindset with calm problem-solving ability

* Comfortable using computers for daily tasks (Word, Excel, booking systems)

* Strong communication skills

* Fluent English (spoken and written); additional languages are an advantage

* Willingness to learn — attitude matters more than experience

Eligibility

* Legal right to work in Ireland is required

* Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship

* Garda Vetting may be required

Working Hours

* Minimum 24 hours per week (typically 30–40 hours)

* Rotating shift patterns, including occasional night shifts

* Weekend availability required

* Weekly schedules provided at least one week in advance
