Excel Recruitment is seeking Kitchen Assistants for a variety of kitchen settings across Kerry town and county.
The role focuses on supporting the kitchen team with food prep, stock control, and wash-up duties to help maintain efficient and well-run kitchen operations.
Key Duties:
1. Preparing food ingredients, including chopping, portioning, and assisting with basic cooking
2. Providing day-to-day support to chefs during prep and service
3. Assisting with stock control, rotation, and incoming deliveries
4. Cleaning dishes, cookware, and kitchen equipment
5. Keeping kitchen, storage, and waste areas clean and organised
6. Following HACCP guidelines and all health & safety procedures
Candidate Criteria:
7. Previous kitchen or catering experience is an advantage
8. Working knowledge of food preparation and kitchen processes
9. Good awareness of food hygiene and safety standards
10. Ability to work effectively in a busy kitchen environment
11. Dependable, well-organised, and a strong team player
