We are recruiting Professional Bus Drivers to join us in delivering a quality customer service. We are looking for people who will operate our buses safely and efficiently and who will make every effort to ensure our customers have a positive experience of Dublin Bus.
Car Licence Applicants

A valid Category B Irish car driving licence (for a minimum of 2 years) with no endorsements

OR
Bus Licence Applicants

A valid, full category D Irish driving licence, with no endorsements
An up- to- date copy from the online CPC Driver Portal as proof that your CPC is up to date, go to www.rsa.ie, click on Professional Drivers, click on Driver CPC then click on My CPC.

Other requirements

Applicants must be over 21 years old (to comply with D licence regulation).
Applicants must have excellent interpersonal skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Applicants must be available to work shifts, including nights, weekends, public holidays, and rotating shifts depending on staffing requirements

€701.31 basic rate of pay per week, increasing to €812.01 on a six-year pay scale (Including shift pay and Sunday premium, rate of pay is €864.95 per week increasing to €1001.48, on the six-year pay scale).
Shifts
New drivers will operate scheduled services covering a 5-day week with rotating shifts (including night service). The standard working week will be 39 hours, exclusive of breaks.
Training
Successful candidates will earn €701.31 a week while in the bus driver training programme. Successful candidates with a B Licence will commence a 6-week (full time) driver training programme, successful candidates with a D licence will commence a 4-week (full time) driver training programme. Initial training and mentoring is provided as well as on-going training and development, including periodic CPC.
On appointment (following a probationary period of 6 months), we will offer you a wide range of benefits including either a company pension scheme or a PRSA pension scheme, a subsidised medical scheme, free bus travel and concessionary rail travel.
