Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Site Operations Manager to join our team on projects in the Midlands/East Region.
You will play a key role in delivering works safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.
* Manage setting out and surveying activities
* Coordinate with subcontractors and site teams
* Ensure all works meet project and health & safety requirements
Key Responsibilities:
* Day-to-day supervision of site activities and subcontractors
* Carry out setting out and surveying using robotic total station and dumpy level
* Ensure works are completed to specification, drawings, and inspection plans
* Maintain RFI and submittals registers on site
* Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely and accurate information flow
* Prepare and review method statements and risk assessments
* Assist with daily site briefings and enforce high health & safety standards
* Resolve technical issues and unexpected challenges on site
* Manage requisitions for materials, plant, and equipment
* Monitor progress against programme and escalate delays as needed
Requirements:
* Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering (Civil/Construction preferred)
* Proven experience in setting out and/or working as a Site Engineer
* Experience with a main contractor, subcontractor, or surveying firm (preferred)
* Full driver's licence
* Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
* Excellent communication skills and IT proficiency (Microsoft Office, Project, PowerPoint)
