Position: Full time Assistant to Head Green Keeper
Main Responsibilities
Support the Head Green Keeper in maintaining the golf course to a high standard.
Mowing greens, tees, fairways and roughs.
Raking, weeding and edging bunkers.
Help with the upkeep of the clubhouse and its surrounds, including flower beds and carpark.
Assist with irrigation, fertilisation, and turf care (training provided).
Learn to operate a variety of machinery and equipment safely.
Help monitor course conditions and report any issues.
Contribute to seasonal projects, renovations, and improvements.
Keep basic records of work completed and supplies used.
Follow Health & Safety guidelines to keep members, guests, and staff safe.
Be part of weekend and holiday rotas when required.
Lend a hand with club events and special projects.
What We're Looking For
A strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions.
An interest in golf, sports turf, or general landscaping (desirable, but not required).
Ability to work well in a team and follow guidance.
A positive, flexible attitude and readiness to take on new challenges.
Knowledge of the game of golf.
Experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or machinery use is welcome but
not essential
—we will provide training and ongoing support.
Desirable (But Not Essential)
Qualification in turf management, horticulture, or a related field.
Familiarity with turf machinery or basic mechanical skills.
Knowledge of Health & Safety practices.
First aid certification.
Full driving licence.
