Senior Quantity Surveyor Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead our commercial management and cost control teams on large-scale projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned QS professional to drive business growth and contribute to the success of our organization.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Managing commercial aspects of large-scale projects from inception to completion
* Preparing detailed cost plans, tender documentation, and bills of quantities
* Overseeing procurement processes and providing strategic input on subcontractor selection and contract negotiations
* Leading interim valuations, variations, and final accounts with accuracy and commercial insight
* Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and design teams on commercial matters
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline
* A minimum of 7 years' experience within a consultancy or client-side QS role, managing diverse and complex projects
* Strong knowledge of Irish construction contracts, procurement routes, and commercial best practices
* Proven ability to lead teams and communicate effectively with all project stakeholders
* Proficiency with industry-standard software and MS Office applications
* Chartered status with SCSI or RICS preferred, or actively working towards chartership
