About Us

Purple House Cancer Support is a leading provider of professional support services to people affected by cancer in Ireland.

We aim to help rebuild the lives of families affected by cancer and are at the heart of our community.

This role involves developing our community and events fundraising programme.


The Role

This position entails managing fundraising activities, developing events, and promoting Purple House to new donors and partners.

* Manage ad hoc community fundraising activities
* Manage fundraising & development events from beginning to end
* Keep CRM up to date with accurate donor information and fundraising income
* Champion Purple House throughout the community
* Attend fundraising and other events as required
* Engage with supporters through digital channels and social media
* Manage the recruitment and retention of fundraising and events volunteers
* Work closely with the development manager and contribute to the achievement of the overall fundraising strategy


Key Responsibilities

As a Community Fundraising Specialist, you will be responsible for various tasks including managing fundraising activities, developing events, and promoting Purple House to new donors and partners.


Person Specification

A minimum of 2 years' experience in a fundraising or public-facing role

Good knowledge of the South Dublin/Wicklow areas

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire supporters

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Planning and organisational skills with a proven ability to multi-task and prioritise time and resources

Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated success of exceptional relationship management
