Lead Clinician in Adult Psychiatry with Special Interest
The role involves leading a multidisciplinary team to provide mental health services for adults with severe and enduring mental illness and complex needs.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality clinical leadership to the team to ensure the delivery of excellent patient care.
* Develop and implement strategies to improve service efficiency, effectiveness, and safety.
* Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care pathways.
* Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans to enhance mental health services.
* Promote education, research, and innovation in adult psychiatry.
Requirements:
* Full registration as a Psychiatrist on the Specialist Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland or entitlement to be so registered.
* Seven years post-graduation experience in adult psychiatry.
* Registered as a general adult psychiatrist with a sub-specialised interest in either Psychiatry of Later Life or Neuropsychiatry desirable.
* Proven ability to lead change, develop clinical services, and manage teams.
* Demonstrated expertise in teaching, managing, participating, and playing a key role in the practice and education of medical students, nursing staff, and allied health professionals.
