This is an exceptional chance to work in a leading acute setting with an experienced and supportive Speech and Language Therapy team.
The role involves providing comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, and interventions for adult inpatients with complex communication and swallowing disorders in an acute hospital environment, contributing to patient outcomes and service development.
The successful candidate will work closely with an established SLT team, assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders for adult inpatients.
Managing a complex and varied caseload, with a particular focus on neurological conditions and dysphagia.
About the Role:
* Conduct thorough assessments and provide therapy for patients with communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing difficulties.
* Deliver specialist dysphagia interventions using evidence-based best practice.
* Collaborate with the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) to ensure holistic patient care.
* Provide training and education for hospital staff, patients, and families.
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical records; contribute to audits, research, and service improvement projects.
Requirements:
* Recognised qualification in Speech & Language Therapy.
* CORU registration (or eligibility).
* Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, with significant clinical practice in an acute hospital setting.
* Dysphagia qualification and substantial acute experience in assessment and management.
