Offer description

We are seeking a skilled professional to carry out inspections of energy upgrade works in residential properties. The role involves conducting post-installation inspections to ensure high standards and compliance with relevant quality specifications.


Key Responsibilities:

* Perform quality assurance inspections on energy retrofit works, adhering to industry standards and codes of practice.
* Document inspection results accurately and efficiently using digital tools or paper.
* Provide expert advice to homeowners, contractors, and internal teams regarding energy upgrades and scheme compliance.
* Schedule appointments with homeowners, conducting visits Monday to Friday between 9am–5pm, as arranged the previous evening.
* Complete an average of 5–6 inspections per day, contingent upon homeowner availability and geographical factors.
* Collaborate closely with the scheduling team, supported by full administrative assistance.
* Participate in regular training sessions and contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives in quality delivery.


Working Regionally – what to Expect:

* Inspectors work within their designated regional area (Ireland South, accessible within a 2-hour drive from their home base).
* Occasional travel outside the region may be required, including overnight stays, with expenses covered.
* Average time spent away from home is one day per week.
* All necessary tools, safety equipment, IT resources, and uniform are provided.


Essential Requirements:

* FETAC Level 6 qualification in Plumbing is mandatory.
* Demonstrated knowledge of domestic construction and heating systems is essential.
* Candidates should be comfortable working independently in a field-based role.
* Excellent communication skills are required for effective interactions with homeowners and contractors.
* Proficiency with mobile devices and digital reporting tools is necessary.
* A valid driving license is also required.


Desirable (but not Essential):

* RGII registration is desirable.
* Heat Pump Installation training is beneficial.
* Knowledge of insulation types and techniques is advantageous.
