Cost Management Specialist
This is a challenging opportunity to work as a Cost Management Specialist in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As part of our team, you will be responsible for providing cost management services to a diverse range of projects across various sectors.
Responsibilities:
* Providing cost management responsibility for a team of professionals, technical staff, and administrative personnel.
* Cost managing and developing projects as part of the portfolio of services outlined.
* Implementing structures, strategy, policy, procedures, and processes for these services.
* Participating in ongoing change and harmonisation process across Infrastructure Capital Development Division and the CCUM.
* Being accountable to the CCUM for the effective cost management and delivery of all Major and Minor capital works.
* Ensuring cost planning and delivery of Minor capital projects aligns with policy and complies with DE capital standards.
Requirements:
* A Degree or higher in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
* At least three years' experience in providing full-range Quantity Surveying services.
* Demonstrable experience of successfully providing budget estimates or cost plans for construction projects.
* Experience in NEC or similar contracts, including assessment of Compensation Events and preparation of assessments for payment.
Key Qualifications:
* Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS or FRICS).
* Demonstrable post-qualification experience in providing full-range Quantity Surveying services.
Salary: £42,708 per annum plus benefits.
