If you enjoy helping others, working on cars, and value honesty and teamwork, consider a career with Monro.About The Role:The General Service Technician is a full-time or part-time hourly position responsible for basic vehicle repairs and maintenance, delivering exceptional service and communicating effectively with guests about vehicle issues and solutions.Responsibilities:Perform basic vehicle services and repairs efficiently and accurately according to company standards.Conduct tire services including removal, balancing, patching, mounting, and TPMS repairs.Perform vehicle services such as oil changes, lubrication, battery testing, and replacements.Complete the Courtesy Inspection on every vehicle, documenting and communicating additional needed services.Assist with inventory management, including pulling and stocking parts and tires.Maintain store cleanliness and ensure a guest-ready environment.Follow safety standards, including proper wheel torque and oil safety procedures.Test drive vehicles following company policies, observing traffic and safety laws.Operate and maintain equipment safely, and perform other duties as assigned.Compensation: The hourly rate ranges from $17 to $19, with potential incentives based on experience.Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent.Automotive training or experience in basic car maintenance and repair.Valid driver’s license and a good Motor Vehicle Report.Own basic tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program.Work Environment & Physical Requirements:Work is performed in an automotive shop environment with exposure to noise, weather, chemicals, and dust.
