Senior Psychologist - Mental Health Specialist
This is a unique opportunity to work with a forensic population and provide comprehensive assessments, formulation of individuals referred to the psychology service, and develop behaviour monitoring procedures.
The Senior Psychologist will take a lead on developing treatment plans, providing evidence-based psychological interventions, and assessing and intervening with people who have been referred to the IPS Psychology Service in relation to mental health difficulties and offence-specific needs.
The role involves working with people presenting with developmental disorders, intellectual difficulties, cognitive decline, traumatic brain injuries, and those from diverse cultural backgrounds.
In addition to individual work, the Senior Psychologist will engage in group interventions and provide consultation, education, guidance, and support to multidisciplinary colleagues.
Essential Qualifications:
* Graduate membership of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) or the British Psychological Society (BPS)
* Postgraduate professional qualification in Clinical Psychology recognised by PSI
* Minimum 2 years post graduate experience as a Psychologist
Desirable Requirements:
* Experience in addressing emotional, mental health and offence-related difficulties with a forensic population
* Experience of providing consultation, education, guidance and support to multidisciplinary colleagues
* Further therapeutic or research qualifications
