HVAC Service Technician Job Description
A HVAC Service Technician plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and technical support. This position involves providing technical assistance, conducting Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), addressing customer breakdowns, warranty work, hire and commissioning workloads, and generating regular reports on completed invoiced work orders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical support to customers and resolve their queries efficiently.
2. Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
3. Address customer breakdowns and warranty work in a timely and effective manner.
4. Manage hire and commissioning workloads while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
5. Generate regular reports on completed invoiced work orders to facilitate seamless operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of customer service principles, excellent interpersonal skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. They must also be proficient in using diagnostic software and MS Office Suite. In addition, they should have experience working in a service or field-based technician role and hold relevant certificates such as F-Gas.
