**Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Decontamination Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the cleaning and reprocessing of reusable medical devices across various areas of the hospital in line with national standards.
The main duties and responsibilities of this position include collecting used items, cleaning equipment, packing sterile supplies, and maintaining records. You will also be required to operate mechanical processing equipment, handle and store raw materials, and comply with health and safety procedures and infection control protocols.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Ability to work non-core hours, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
* Completion of a Decontamination Course, such as HSELand.ie levels 1 and 2, or equivalent certification.
* Previous experience working in a comparable healthcare environment.
* FETAC Level 6 Decontamination qualification is desirable.
