Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced accounts technician/bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and update postings for client and office accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Law Society regulations.
* Process and record receipts, payments, and transfers, including cheques, EFT, Land Direct payments, and CRO payments.
* Document evidence for receipts and payments, and reconcile bank statements.
* Prepare and process invoices, Bills of Costs, and Statements of Account.
* Assist fee earners in finalizing Bills of Costs and Statements of Accounts.
* Process supplier invoices and manage accounts payable.
* Prepare and file VAT returns and Thesaurus Payroll System.
Requirements:
* Prior experience in legal accounts or a similar office environment is advantageous.
* Familiarity with Solicitors' computerized accounts and case management systems.
* Excellent numerical skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Thorough understanding of Law Society accounts regulations.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
