Overview
Resident Engineer - Active Travel Bridge Project (Monaghan)
Join to apply for the Resident Engineer - Active Travel Bridge Project (Monaghan) role at AtkinsRéalis.
We are seeking a Resident Engineer for a new Active Travel Bridge Project in Monaghan Town.
Duration of the project is 6 to 8 months commencing in June 2025.
The project involves the construction of a single-span, 29m precast beam and slab deck on piled abutments adjacent to an existing listed masonry arch bridge.
The candidate will also act as the Employer's Representative.
Responsibilities
Site-based supervision
Contract administration
Stakeholder and client liaison
Reporting, monitoring, and inspection of all construction activities
Acting as the Employer's Representative
What You Can Bring (Qualifications)
Level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering
Relevant experience in the civil engineering industry
Experience in the supervision and administration of Public Works Contracts for Civil Engineering Works
Proficiency in relevant software (AutoCAD or similar) and Microsoft Office programs
Experience in administering contracts using the Public Works form of contracts, including processing valuations and assessing claims
Experience in supervising and inspecting the construction of precast beam and slab bridges, including piled abutments, roadworks, drainage, ducting, signage, and lighting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong record-keeping and reporting skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of current H&S regulations and best practices
Full driving licence and a valid SafePass

Flexible approach with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
Positive outlook and approachable manner
Well-motivated, able to work alone or as part of a team
Benefits/Other
Competitive salary based on experience
25 days annual leave, with the option to purchase an additional 5 days
Standard working week of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, with the possibility of some weekend and night work (as required)
