Savills wish to recruit a Client Accountant within its Residential Management Lettings team.
This role is ideal for an accountant seeking to develop strong financial and property sector experience within in a team responsible for the management of a 6,000+ unit portfolio across multiple institutional clients.
The Client Accountant will be self-motivated, goal and results driven professional, with strong financial management expertise and a proven ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
Success in this role requires a strong client-focused mindset and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing better ways of working, while effectively managing expectations and consistently meeting client needs.
Key Responsibilities Ensure the timely and accurate completion of monthly financial and management reporting packs for institutional clients within the Residential Management Lettings property portfolio.
Maintenance of all financial data relating to a portfolio of residential properties, ensuring the integrity of the data.
Co-ordinate with key stakeholders to ensure that reporting commitments for each of your properties are met and any issues are resolved on a timely basis.
Oversee the financial management of the portfolio ensuring all key reconciliation are completed appropriately and with supporting documentation.
Assist in the preparation and delivery of annual budgets, review budget variance analysis with Property Managers to identify and address key differences.
Analyse financial data to identify areas for improvement and provide actionable insights.
Work closely with Property Managers and Finance to respond to ad hoc queries and promptly resolve issues.
Build solid relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, including clients and property managers.
Identify opportunities and assist with projects that will drive efficiencies within the department and assist with the implementation of systems and processes.
Work with internal and external auditors in the preparation of audit requirements.
Other Ad-hoc duties as determined by the business.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA accountant.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, (written and verbal) with the ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
Positive and flexible attitude with the aptitude to take ownership of work as required and see it through to completion.
Ability to work well under pressure, to prioritise tasks and focus on meeting deadlines.
Proven track record of strong organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to analyse problems, develop and implement solutions to generate immediate results.
Property Management accounts experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
Property system knowledge (Yardi,Salesforce) desirable but not essential.
