Role Purpose
The Roaming Wholesale & Operations Manager is responsible for the endtoend operational, commercial, technical and regulatory management of Vodafone Ireland's roaming services. The role requires an thorough understanding of wholesale roaming agreements, billing, rating systems, partner operations & GSMA compliance related activities.This role ensures that Vodafone Ireland delivers compliant, highquality and commercially effective roaming experiences for visiting roamers and Vodafone Ireland customers travelling abroad, while managing a wide and complex ecosystem of partners, platforms and industry bodies.
Key Responsibilities
Roaming Operations ManagementManage daytoday relationships and correspondence with roaming partners Oversee & timely implementation of key updates from our roaming partners, ensuring compliance with GSMA guidelines. Maintain roaming partner records, member lists, and notifications on GSMA platforms. Support management of inbound and outbound roaming quality via the Vodafone Group technical teams Manage customer care escalations across all consumer brands and sub-brands Ensure Business Continuity Planning for roaming services.Wholesale and Retail ManagementAct as primary contact for our centralised roaming services team, oversee traffic planning to support detailed budgeting and centralised partner negotiations. Approve and manage steering of roaming changes and network blocking requests. An understanding of roaming billing systems & tools to support configuration updates and provide internal teams with insights and intelligence needed to resolve issues, support with troubleshooting and financial analysis. Own consumer and business roaming propositions across all brands. Ensure accuracy of roaming information provided directly and indirectly aligns correctly to all market propositions, regulations and customer experience standards.
Job Requirements
ExperienceExtensive experience in roaming operations and good understanding of wholesale roaming management. Experience with roaming billing systems (WRM, Syniverse reporting, TAP, NRTRDE standards or equivalents) would be desirable Background in telecom network operations, routing, IREG/TADIG, VoLTE roaming and service testing. Experience handling GSMA compliance processes and standards. Proven leadership working with crossfunctional teams Experience preparing commercial insights, financial reports, and supporting senior leadership decisions.Technical Knowledge & ToolsStrong understanding of:GSMA International Roaming Agreements and GSMA standards Network routing & roaming architecture VoLTE & 5G SA roaming standards Billing roaming standards, processes and rating logic Partner configuration, SGSN/node identificationAbility to work across diverse data formats and systems. Proficiency in creating reports, presentations and business insights.
