CJ Sheeran Group is seeking a reliable, safety-focused Shunter Driver to join our busy pallet production and recovery facility on Limerick Road, Mountrath, Co. Laois.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate a brand-new Kalmar shunter across our two Mountrath sites
* Complete short-haul trailer movements to support production & dispatch
* Coordinate trailer positioning with Logistics and Production teams
* Act as on-site contact for drivers, managing priorities clearly and efficiently
* Carry out pre-use checks and report defects promptly
* Maintain safe and organised yard operations with controlled traffic flow
* Support loading/unloading by sequencing trailers for scheduled bays
* Maintain accurate digital records of trailer movements
* Assist with general yard tasks, housekeeping & occasional forklift duties
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years' shunter driving experience
* Full clean valid driving licence and counterbalance forklift certificate
* Strong communication & teamwork skills
* Safety-focused, reliable, and calm under pressure
* Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
* Flexible and proactive approach
