Job Description
Role: Faculty Liaison Officer
Reporting to: Faculties Manager
Duration: Permanent
Salary: 35,000 + Benefits

Post Summary: The Faculty Liaison Officer supports the operational, engagement, communications and governance activities of the RCPI Faculties. The role is responsible for the coordinated delivery of governance support, stakeholder engagement, communications coordination, data management and digital administration activity across the Faculties of the College. The post ensures effective governance processes, strong Faculty engagement, high‑quality communications, accurate Faculty data and consistent operational delivery. The role also supports continuous improvement through structured processes, digital literacy and the appropriate use of systems, reporting and automation tools.
Key Responsibilities – Stakeholder Engagement, Communications & Faculty Support
Support positive working relationships with Faculty Boards, Members, Fellows, sponsors and wider College stakeholders through responsive and professional engagement.
Coordinate Faculty communications activity, including newsletters, updates, invitations and event‑related communications, ensuring alignment with organisational tone, standards and approval processes.
Support Faculty visibility and engagement through the maintenance of Faculty web content and digital presence, monitoring engagement metrics and recommending improvements where appropriate.
Assist in the coordination of Faculty events and sponsorship activity in line with College policy, including maintaining accurate records and post‑event reporting.
Key Responsibilities – Governance
Ensure the effective operation of Faculty Boards, Committees and governance structures, including meeting coordination, agenda preparation, documentation, minute‑taking and follow‑up actions.
Contribute to governance reviews, annual reporting and the identification and escalation of risks, inconsistencies or gaps as appropriate.
Support consistency of governance approaches, templates and reporting across Faculties.
Key Responsibilities – Data, Digital Working & Reporting
Take ownership of Faculty‑level data accuracy, working with relevant teams to ensure integrity, consistency and appropriate governance of records.
Lead data quality improvement and clean‑up activities and produce regular engagement and activity reports to support planning and decision‑making.
Support the adoption and effective use of digital systems, reporting tools and automation processes that improve efficiency, consistency, communication and service quality across Faculties.
Key Responsibilities – Operations And Projects
Support Faculty Boards, Committees and events, ensuring strong logistical and administrative delivery.
Maintain and coordinate Standard Operating Procedures and annual timelines for core Faculty activities, identifying common processes and supporting consistency across Faculties.
Assist with meeting room bookings, calendars and operational logistics.
Provide Faculty Officer cover as required and support cross‑functional projects and initiatives.
Requirements
A relevant third‑level qualification or equivalent professional experience. Preferred: experience working in a governance, communications, operational or stakeholder‑focused environment. Strong organisational, interpersonal, communication and analytical skills. High standards of attention to detail and confidence working with digital systems, reporting tools and data. Experience supporting stakeholder engagement and working across multiple teams or priorities is desirable.
Role Development and Future Scope
As Faculty activity continues to evolve, the Faculty Liaison Officer will play an increasing role in embedding governance consistency, strengthening data insight and supporting efficient ways of working. Future scope may include enhanced governance standardisation, improved reporting, committee induction materials and continued contribution to digital improvement initiatives.
