Environmental Health & Safety Lead Exciting opportunity to join a successful and progressive mechanical engineering company in Tipperary as an EHS Lead as they continue to grow! THE COMPANY: Our client has been established for over 4 decades and in that time has established a reputation in the Irish and international market as for their drive to meet client needs and their passion of delivering each project to the highest possible quality standard. They specialise in design and fabrication of bulk material handling solutions and high-quality steel fabrication, mainly dealing with projects in the process end user field, and they have the capacity to deliver full turnkey projects, from design, fabrication, installation and handover. As a result of ongoing success, they are looking to hire and new EHS Lead to join their team. THE ROLE: The successful candidate will be a mixture of the site in Tipperary and sites in and around the Greater Dublin area. They will be responsible for the following: Develop, implement and manage the EHS system for the business (90% H&S, 10% Environmental) Carry out site inspections, site audits, develop RAMs, SOPs, monitor compliance of staff and sub-contractors. Document and report all incidents and near misses. Deliver HSE training programs, including onboarding, company requirements, procedural updates and new legal requirements. Ensure all labour and 3rd party contractors follow H&S protocols, site inductions and toolbox talks. THE PERSON: We are looking to speak to candidates with the following background: A strong track record in Health and Safety is essential. Past Construction H&S/EHS experience is extremely advantageous. H&S/EHS experience in a manufacturing environment will also be strongly considered. Ideal role for a Health and Safety Officer looking to take that next step into Health and Safety management.
