The Group Social Media Content Creator is a key role within the Group Creative Content Team, responsible for producing scroll-stopping social-first content and supporting the Group Social Media Manager in executing social media campaigns across our unique hotels. This role combines creative content production with social media strategy support, bridging the creative and marketing functions to ensure best-in-class social output.
The MHL Hotel Collection is a portfolio of distinct, individual hotels in city and resort locations throughout Ireland. Each property has its own personality, from the bustling city centres of Dublin and Galway to picturesque estates near Wicklow and Galway City. This role requires someone who can translate each hotel's unique story into engaging content and support the delivery of impactful social media campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
Social-First Content Creation:
* Develop and execute creative, scroll-stopping video and photo content for social media platforms.
* Produce story-led content that engages audiences, including Reels, carousels, and short-form video.
* Experiment with hooks, visual effects, trending audio, and formats to optimise content for social media performance.
* Maintain brand consistency while creatively adapting content to suit different platforms and audiences.
Supporting Social Media Strategy & Execution:
* Assist the Group Social Media Manager in planning and implementing social media campaigns across multiple hotels.
* Support in creating content calendars and ensuring content aligns with broader social strategy.
* Provide insights and recommendations based on social performance metrics.
Insight & Stakeholder Collaboration:
* Monitor social media trends, platform updates, and competitor activity to ensure content remains innovative and best-in-class.
* Collaborate with internal teams to deliver creative solutions.
Role Requirements
* Proven social-first creative experience, with at least 3 years creating content for social media platforms.
* Agency experience managing multiple brands, or in-house experience managing multiple social accounts or properties, is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of visual storytelling, trends, audience behaviours, hooks, audio, and tone of voice.
* Experience with in-app editing (TikTok, Instagram Reels) and editing software (CapCut, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite).
* Experience planning, executing, and optimising multi-account social campaigns.
* Excellent copywriting skills, with attention to grammar, tone, and engagement strategies.
* Confident, proactive, and highly creative, with the ability to collaborate across creative and marketing teams.
* Experience using social media tools.
