The salary for this position is $525,000 annually, based on a full-time schedule. Compensation is prorated for part-time roles. Actual compensation will be determined during the selection process and is based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, education, and internal equity.

Location: Wellesley, MA
Mass General Brigham is seeking a full-time, Board Certified or Board Eligible Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to join our established and highly collaborative orthopedic team at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Wellesley, Massachusetts. This position offers the opportunity to practice in a well-resourced environment with strong institutional support, a robust referral network, and access to advanced imaging and multidisciplinary care.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery with fellowship training in Hand Surgery. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-based orthopedic practice.
Experience treating a broad spectrum of hand and upper extremity conditions is required. Additional expertise in wrist, forearm, or elbow surgery is welcome. Preferred candidates will have a minimum of two years of post-fellowship experience, though new graduates with strong training and interest in building a practice will also be considered.
Position Highlights
* Provides direct patient care as an Orthapaedic Surgeon, with a focus on hand and upper extremity orthopaedic medicine, consistent with the clinical privileges granted by the NWH Board of Trustees through its Medical Staff.
* Ensures timely and appropriate documentation for all clinical activities.
* Ensures timely and appropriate communication with referring physicians, including compliance with standards for documentation of such communication.
* Participates in Emergency call requirements as required by the Site Medical Director.
* Serves on such NWH committees as may be required by the Medical Staff Bylaws or may be reasonably requested by NWH, MGBMG, and/or the Site Medical Director.
* Participates, as reasonably requested by NWH or MGBMG, in the development and implementation of clinical practice guidelines.
* Participates in NWH and MGBMG's quality and safety improvement and risk management programs.
* Performs such other duties as from time to time may reasonably be requested by the Site Medical Director, and as commensurate with one's experience and training as a physician.
* Participates from time to time in MGB-wide activities as reasonably assigned.
