About the Role Lynskey Engineering is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to support our Procurement Manager and project delivery teams.

The role involves assisting with supplier coordination, processing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and maintaining accurate purchasing records.

The successful candidate will help ensure materials and equipment are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with project requirements.

We are looking for a highly organised individual with strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Previous experience in an administrative or procurement-related role is advantageous, along with proficiency in standard office systems and a proactive, team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities Procurement Support Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations Prepare and issue purchase orders in line with company procedures Follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier details Support the Purchasing Manager in negotiating prices, terms, and delivery schedules Supplier Management Communicate with suppliers to confirm order details and resolve delivery or quality issues Assist with maintaining approved supplier lists and updating supplier documentation Logistics Coordination Coordinate deliveries to ensure materials are received in line with project or production schedules Liaise with the stores, accounts, and project teams regarding deliveries, shortages, and returns Administrative Duties Maintain purchasing files, databases, and records (electronic and paper-based)Process invoices and delivery dockets for approval and payment Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, expenditure, and supplier performance Support audits by providing documentation and reports as required Compliance & Continuous Improvement Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and quality standards (ISO 9001)Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements Support environmental and sustainability objectives in procurement activities Qualifications-3-5 years experience in procurement or as office administrator Pay range and compensation package Salary €30,000-40,000 p.a.
