Position Overview
The Senior Assistant Manager is a pivotal leadership role, supporting the General Manager & Operations Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences and operational efficiency. You will oversee daily operations, act as Duty Manager, and lead strategic projects that enhance performance and brand standards. This role demands a proactive, hands‑on leader who embraces continuous development and inspires the team to achieve greatness.
Key Responsibilities
Duty Management
* Act as Duty Manager, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations across all departments.
* Respond promptly to guest feedback and operational challenges, maintaining Moxy's upbeat and solution‑focused culture.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and brand standards during each shift.
Leadership & Development
* Coach and mentor team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
* Identify training needs and implement development plans aligned with Marriott and Moxy standards.
* Lead daily briefings and energise the crew with clear goals and positive engagement.
Project Management
* Drive operational and service improvement projects, from concept to completion.
* Collaborate with department heads to deliver initiatives on time and within budget.
* Monitor KPIs and prepare reports for senior leadership, highlighting progress and opportunities.
Operational Excellence
* Support revenue strategies and cost control measures.
* Ensure seamless coordination between Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping, and Maintenance.
* Uphold Moxy's Play On philosophy in every guest interaction and team engagement.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in hotel operations management or senior supervisory role.
* Strong organisational and project management skills.
* Ability to lead under pressure with a positive, can‑do attitude.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Passion for hospitality and commitment to continuous improvement.
