Commissioning Lead
Dublin (on-site role)
A long-term data centre programme in Dublin requires an experienced Commissioning Lead to join the delivery team on a large-scale build. The project involves coordinating specialist vendors responsible for bringing key mechanical and electrical systems through testing, verification, and handover stages.
This position is embedded on site and involves close interaction with engineering, QA, safety, and construction delivery teams to ensure systems reach the required commissioning milestones.
What the Role Involves
* Looking after day-to-day commissioning tasks on site across both mechanical and electrical packages.
* Keeping track of progress against the commissioning schedule and identifying any areas that need attention.
* Working directly with vendor teams to ensure the work being carried out matches the scope and documentation.
* Making sure testing records, scripts, and sign-offs are completed properly and filed.
* Attending and sometimes leading commissioning meetings to update the wider project group.
* Supporting or attending FATs, factory witness testing, and system demonstrations when required.
* Checking that site commissioning activities follow the approved procedures and safety standards.
* Coordinating closely with the QA/QC function and Authorised Persons to maintain consistency across the project.
* Helping to manage the tagging, documentation and sign-off process for systems as they progress through commissioning stages.
Who This Suits
* Someone with a background in electrical or building services engineering, or an electrical trade with relevant commissioning experience.
* Ideally 7+ years working in a commissioning or technical supervision role within construction, industrial plants, pharmaceuticals, power, or mission-critical environments.
* Hands-on familiarity with LV/MV/HV systems and electrical testing / verification.
* Practical understanding of construction site safety requirements.
* Someone who works well with structured processes and can maintain clear documentation.
* Decisive, comfortable coordinating multiple parties, and able to spot issues early.
