A new opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join a general adult mental health service based in North Dublin. The role primarily involves inpatient care with some outpatient follow-up for recently discharged patients, supporting two community mental health teams. Key Responsibilities: Lead diagnosis and treatment of inpatients, including those detained under the Mental Health Act Supervise non-consultant hospital doctors (NCHDs) Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and consultant colleagues Participate in on-call duties and academic programmes Contribute to service planning, audit, and clinical governance Requirements: Specialist registration with the Medical Council of Ireland in psychiatry Demonstrated clinical leadership and experience in general adult psychiatry Strong communication, collaboration, and organisational skills Eligibility to live and work in Ireland Desirable: Experience in service development and teaching Commitment to continuous professional development Skills: psychiatrist psychiatry general psychiatry adult mental health general adult psychiatry mental health
