Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced ICA Engineer. The candidatewill be partially based in the office (location to be agreed following appointment) and partially on site, and will report directly to the Senior Asset Planning Engineer in the Asset Planning Maintenance Team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Development of theICA Assets Capital Investment Strategy for water process sites.
* Development of the ICA Assets Maintenance Strategy for water process sites.
* Development of an Appropriate Asset Signal Data Strategy, for water process sites to include asset signal data for operational, performance, investment and regulatory purposes.
* Assess coverage and suitability and or obsolescence of existing ICA infrastructure.
* Assess serviceability of existing ICA infrastructure.
* Assist in the identification and prioritisation of water process sites requiring ICA.
* Review site ICA surveys for water process sites and scoping out requirements for new and remediation works to water process sites or systems to bring them up to current ICA standard.
* Issuing planned and scoped works to a delivery partner for site delivery in accordance withprocesses and procedures including I2O (Invest to Outcome).
* Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Asset Management, Asset Operations, Regulation and Process Optimisation, to understand their requirements so that they can be delivered through Capital Investment in ICA.
* Work closely with corporate asset data systems teams to ensure implementation of standard and best practice asset, alarm, performance and regulatory data recording and reporting.
Key Requirements:
* Engineering or scientific 3rd level qualification or relevant ICA Control Systems Qualification.
* Minimum 7 years’ experience in ICA, design, build, test and commissioning.
* Be competent in ICA, SCADA, HMI, PLC Control Philosophies, PLC's and Marshalling PLC's concepts.
* Have experience with design, build, test and commissioning of control systems with PLC's (Programmable Logic Controller).
* Have experience with MCCs (Motor Control Centres), Automation of Actuators Instrumentation (level, pressure, flow, analytical etc) and site commissioning.
* Be able to review a site signal data survey and produce a scope of works for the installation of appropriate ICA.
* Be able to review and understand & input into P&IDs.
* Have experience working with remote asset data collection systems and real time data systems i.e. telemetry.
* Have knowledge of Water and Wastewater services and processes and how PLC's are used to control the processes on site.
* Have knowledge of ICA Maintenance (reactive and planned) best practice and how to set up maintenance plans, test and verification.
* Have the ability to engage with Automation Contractors in developing solutions / systems.
* Be able to prepare technical documentation and specifications.
