IT Support Engineer - Comms Room
Ergo IT Recruitment Services is seeking an IT Support Engineer for a permanent position in Dublin city centre.
Working in a high‑performance desktop trading environment, you will provide technical support to M365 users, IT Infrastructure and internal applications. This is a varied role which includes Desktop Builds, hands‑on Comms Room duties, Application Support and Systems Administration.
Applicants should have experience disassembling desktop PCs, replacing/upgrading components and extensive experience in a Comms Room (racking, server backups, cabling). The role is on‑site with rotating shifts: 10 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 AM - 3 PM.
What will you do?
Troubleshoot and resolve desktop and server problems, upgrading and replacing desktop components
Diagnose and solve hardware and software incidents and issues
Act as a central point for IT infrastructure requests, including server and network maintenance and administration
Perform server backups
Configure racks and monitor server health
SQL administration and support
System monitoring via operations tools and alerts
Support Windows Server environment including Exchange Servers
Support Office 365 environment
Provide application and user support, handling user requests and outages for all operational matters
Install, maintain and support new applications and services
What experience do you need?
IT hardware experience, including laptop builds
Microsoft (Office) 365 administration
High‑availability technologies such as UPS and RAID
Scripting experience required (PowerShell / SQL)
