Health & Safety and Facilities Management Officer
We are seeking a full-time Health & Safety officer who will also manage Facilities in our new office. The role is crucial in promoting and maintaining a health & safety culture within the company.
The Role: H&S
The successful candidate will play a key role in:
* Maintaining and improving health and safety policies and procedures in line with current legislation and industry best practice.
* Reviewing the Health & Safety Statement annually and making amendments as necessary.
* Ensuring effective risk assessment and risk reduction programs are in place.
* Conducting regular internal health & safety inspections and audits to monitor effectiveness of controls and highlight areas for improvement.
* Facilitating external audits and inspections where required.
* Managing the action tracking process through liaising with stakeholders to ensure agreed actions are closed in a timely manner.
Facilities Management
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Maintaining the office interior, including plumbing, electrical, and building faults.
* Supervising contractors as required and approved.
* Maintaining on-site and off-site archive facilities in accordance with company policy.
* Securing the washing of all windows at least every three months or more frequently as required.
* Assisting in maintaining all kitchens/canteen on a daily basis.
* Maintaining all toilets in spotless condition.
* Checking housekeeping supplies on a weekly basis and reordering as necessary.
* Supervising cleaning service staff.
* Assisting the receptionist with preparations for meetings and seminars.
* Covering receptionist duties, including admitting personnel and visitors.
